Make your own safety kit

Many sports stores have pre-constructed first-aid kits that you may want to purchase. Here are some important safety items to consider bringing along on family outings.

  • Water
  • Antibacterial hand cleaner
  • Sun block
  • Insect repellent
  • Sterile wipe
  • Adhesive bandage strips
  • Tweezers
  • Any needed medication (i.e. asthma inhalers, allergy medication, epinephrine injection)
  • Whistle to signal for help
  • Scissors
  • Lip protector
  • Cold pack
  • Tissues, cotton swabs, and cotton balls
